Kulimela Festivals

As of August 2016 there have been eleven Kulimela festivals to date, held at the locations listed below:


The inaugural Kulimela festival was held June 2006 in New Vrindaban, USA with more than 700 participants. Main themes were "One Vision, Many Voices" and "Make Your Mark."

Main Video
Festival was held June 2007 in Alachua, Florida USA with approximately 350 participants. Main themes were "Make Your Mark" & "Inspiration, Balance, Unity & Krishna Consciousness."

The four day festival went from July 12 - 16 2007 and was attended by 300 young people at a rented facility in Moscow. Main themes were "Make Your Mark" & "One Vision, Many Voices."

Held in Radhadesh from July 31st to August 3rd, 2008 with 400 participants from 25 different countries. Main theme included "Make Your Mark." The goal of this Kuli Mela was "first to share, then to serve, then to be inspired, and then to act."

Held in Tomsk from July 3 – 7 2008, the event attracted 250 participants. The festival’s slogan was "Kulimela is a family,’”

Kulimela New Zealand, which ran from December 27th 2012 to January 6th 2013, was dubbed "Kiwi Mela." There were approximately 150 participants & the main themes were "Unity, Love and Devotion."

Kirtan Festivals

Kulimela organizes, inspires and encourages Kirtan festivals, which link communities worldwide in the joyful experience of congregational singing and dancing in glorification of the Divine.


An annual Kirtan festival, held in New Vrindaban USA, that first started in 2007 as an outgrowth from the inaugural Kulimela festival in 2006. This event has been held every year since 2007.

A global Kirtan experience, "24 hours of simultaneous prayer" where participants were able to "Pray Globally + Chant Locally" with "Offerings to the Yamuna River." Synchronous events were held around the world in 2008, 2010 & 2013.

Kulimela partners with and facilitates a variety of community projects.



This 2016 Grammy nominated "Best New Age Album" is an internationally renowned creative collaboration aimed at empowering and educating underprivileged girls in India. All profits from this record go towards education of girls in Vrindavan, India.

First introduced in 2007 in Alachua Florida, the Village of Vrindavan is a miniature version of the original which annually transports Janmastami festival participants to the holy Village of Vrindavan.
